The rapper that brought you the "Headline's" remix hit that caught looks from all corners of the hip hop world, Drew32 dropped a short mixtape yesterday of unreleased songs (2008-2009). In the description of the mixtape Drew tells us to not  "judge [him]". The only judgment I put on Drew as a result of the tape is that every new song that comes from him will be iTunes "most played" worthy. The tape has 5 tracks that deal with the current events of a few years ago. Check them out and let me know what you think.

T.R.I.G.S.- Tarik (Mixtape Download)

T.R.I.G.S., the reason I get signed. A bold mixtape title from the feirce, New York spitter, Tarik. Nonetheless that's what he chose. And after realeasing some of the best hip hop of the last few months he was ready to drop the rest of the tape. Tarik shows us that he isn't just going to be known for the fast, hard rap songs hour previously released. There are more than a few slow songs with almost non-existant beats that have lyrics of Emineim quality (my favorite being "Everything I Am"). The songs that aren't chill are almost the exact opposite, and what I expected from Tarik. The only thing that bugs me about the tape is the seemingly lack of sound quality. Most people won't notice it though so don't let it turn you off. Check out the tape below, and support my man Tarik with a download.

Time flies took an interesting turn with this tape. They created a genre that is otherwise (to my knowledge) unpopulated. The music is a mix of techno/club/dubstep/hiphop. And I only like one of those 4 genres. This guy, Jus.Co is WAY to underground for my liking. This mixtape beats out some of the best that I have heard all month and (I know some people will kill me for saying this) even contests with "Tha Carter IV" for the best piece of music this August. Not only does Jus. Co destroy the famous remixes on the tape, but he demonstrates with songs like, Houstatlantavegas (Acoustic) his ability to not only rap, but to sing and play guitar as well. I haven't heard every song yet, but I'm pretty sure it is all remixes. I'm not asking you to download this tape, I am TELLING YOU to download it. NOW.


Bottom Line: A mixtape full of awesome remixes that needs to be downloaded unless you don't like good music.

Pop Culture- IanJ (Free Mixtape Download)

People in the underground "frat rap" community have been waiting for the 17 year old, IanJ to drop this tape for a while. From what I've heard so far it is pretty damn good. It isn't too long (with just 8 tracks) but it contains the perfect mix of original beats and ones that are reused in clever ways (see Pure Imagination). IanJ continues to impress, enjoy the tape.

Jack Of All Trades- CyHi The Prynce (Mixtape)

Not long after releasing his last project, CyHi decided to drop this mixtape which he claims he made in a week. The mixtape is supposed to convince everyone that CyHi is a Jack Of All Trades. Each song has a name of a skill, i.e. “Assassin” or “Farmer”, and he tells us how he is that “skill” in the appropriate song. It is hard to explain, but a pretty good idea. Most of the songs are short though with only 2 songs over 3 minutes (one of them being an “I’m On One” remix). Oh, and there are no features on the mixtape. Overall, it just seems like a project that CyHi through together pretty quickly, but even though he did, the outcome is pretty good and worth your time.

Here is the latest from our LA based friend, Azad Right. He says this is the first leak off of his debut mixtape, "The Time Is Right" which will drop in September. The song's sample of The Spinners', "I'll Be Around" is courtesy of producer, Jonathan Marquez. The song is a good one so make sure you take a listen.


Bottom Line: Some brand new Azad that is a must download for any fans of the young rapper in California and clever samples of old fashioned songs turned anew.

Blank Check- Matt Clarke

Here is a new mixtape from an artists that calls himself Matt Clarke and reps Arlington. This is his sophomore tape and it isn't to bad. It has a variety of styles on it from incredibly hype music to pretty chill ones. As for the beats, they are a mix of originals and remixes provided by a variety of producers, including the DJ of the tape, DJ Doubletake. His flow reminds me of Hobson's from Fortune Family. He definitely has some work to put in if he wants to make it in the game, but there is talent there waiting to be fully accessed. So, although I am pleasantly surprised by, "Blank Check" I am expecting A LOT from Clarke's next tape. 


Bottom Line: A good mixtape for any Fortune Family fans or anyone that likes hype hip hop with good beats.

Under The Sea Freestyle- Timeflies + "Cars Money Fame" Music Video

Last night Timeflies released the visuals for their song, "Cars Money and Fame" which drove me to their website to check it out. But, it turns out that I was met with something even more dope. This freestyle to the ever so famous disney beat, "Under The Sea". It is another clever sampling by these guys and I don't know why they are obsessed with disney but hey, I don't mind. Be sure to check out their last dope disney sampling, "Never Grow Up" (I think Peter Pan was disney?).


Bottom Line: If you liked Timeflies' last feature here on INHH, this is a must download for you. They kill it again.
