Top Billin'- Uno Hype

New single from an artist called Uno Hype. Uno is only 17 years old and already making a name for himself as a smooth spitter with catchy hooks and intricate lyrics. I feel that this song demonstrates most of that ability well, it begins slow (Hype goes in at 1:05) but after he begins rapping I guarantee you can't stop listening.

Bottom Line: New slow jam from a young artist with good messages to spread through catchy hip hop. If you like artists like Tayyib Ali and Devin Miles then I would say this is a good download for you.

Throw Back! Regulate- Warren G

Alright, it's been a slow day today so I think it's time for a throwback. Todays goes back many many years, not just 6 months. This is as classic as hip hop gets and if you haven't already heard this song then you can't even consider yourself a hip hop fan. It is by an old rapper named Warren G arguably most famous for this song Regulate, and another song, This Dj (maybe next weeks throwback) and he always comes in with smooth lyrics that can hold any beat. Anyway, great throwback, shot out to Adam for the idea, hope you enjoy!

Bottom Line: Straight up classic hip hop song, if you haven't heard this song yet you MUST listen to it. Even if you don't like it, just listen.

Let It Go- StartYourOwnRebellion Ft. J. Cole

This is a new single off of SYOR's mixtape that was recently released. It is classic smooth hip hop and J. Cole adds the element he always does to a song and the end result is something that is more than enjoyable to listen to.

Bottom Line: Classic Hip Hop song with good lyrics, a good hook, and a good verse from J. Cole as a bonus. To be honest, if you like Hip Hop in general I would suggest taking a listen to this song.

Confessions- JoJo Pellegrino

A harsh new song off of JoJo Pellegrino's upcoming mixtape, Machine Gun Pelly. I like the ideas of this song from JoJo. He talks about how he thinks its rediculous that you can commit horrible sins and then just tell them to a guy in a box and be forgiven. Through this song he asks God for forgiveness and raps over a simple yet smooth beat. The song also has a new music video that was released which I will post below, enjoy!

Bottom Line: New artist with a new song and video. If you like rappers with good lyrics and interesting messages portrayed through their songs then this is a good download for you.

So It Goes- Erik Paul

This is a slow jam from a new kid called Erik Paul. Erik is born and raised in Ohio and has been making music for a while now. He raps in this song over a sample from Aerosmith's "Dream On" and uses the original hook from the song, spitting his verses in between. Not much else to say about this one, besides the fact that I think its a solid single.

Bottom Line: If you like slow songs, or love songs with some  rap in them then this is a MUST download for you.

Slow Down-Timbland Feat. Blind Fury

Ok this song was released last night as part of Timblands latest project, "Timbland Thursdays" where he releases a new Timbland song every Thursday up until his album drops. Im not sure why this song is considered a Timbland song though. He only has one verse while Blind Fury does the hook and 3 verses, it is probably because Timbland produced it and wanted to take credit. On to the actual song though, it is a particularly fast song (hence the name) and probably one of the better songs by Timbland that I have ever heard (and I'm not a Timbland fan). Blind Fury spits hard for every single one of his verses, and Timbland adds some diversity to the song at the end of it with a short, cliché verse.

Bottom Line: First off, don't be misled by the title, Blind Fury does most of the work in this song. If you like Timbland or Blind Fury this is a MUST download for you because they are at their best in this song. Otherwise, if you like fast paced songs and mainstream rap then this would be a MUST download for you as well.

Things I Haven't Done- The Good Husbands

This is a new song and music video from a group called The Good Husbands. I'm not really sure where they get their name though because none of them are married, hmm.. They are from Seattle and are relatively new to the rap game. This song is kind of catchy though. Besides the verses from all of the GH members the sample fits well with the feel and flow of the song. As well as the new song, they released a new video for it and both will be listed below.

Bottom Line: Young, "laxer flow" hip hop group that released a new song about all of the things that they haven't done yet. Its a pretty good download, especially if you enjoy the music of artists like, IanJ and Pmac.
