Let Me Dope You (Remix)- Travis Wide

This a remix by a guy named Travis Wide and the original song was by Childish Gambino. I'm going to focus on Gambino because his story is more interesting then Travis Wide's. Donald Glover, or Childish Gambino, began his career as a comedian and you may remeber seeing him on the show "Community". He used his stardom from the show to help promote his raps which are known for being lyrically advanced and catchy. On to the song, the original had a, to put it simply, annoying beat. Wide replaces the annoying beat with a fast and complex one that takes the song to a whole new level. Besides the beat, the original (and obviously the remix) has some awesome lyrics and a decent hook. I will post both the original and the remix below and you tell me which you think is better.


Bottom Line: If you have heard the original to this song and thought it wasn't good you HAVE to take a listen, it is 100% better. Otherwise if you like hard spitters and haven't heard Childish Gambino before then listen to this remix, I'm sure you will like it.

You Be Killin' Em Pt. 2- Fabulous Ft. NeYo & Ryan Leslie

This song will serve as Fabulous's first single off of his newest project, The S.O.U.L. Tape. It features NeYo on the hook who does not cause any surprises, and Ryan Leslie who has a pretty sweet verse. But I think Fabulous steals the show with his 2 verses that just tie together the song. 
Bottom Line: If you like NeYo on a hook then this song is a MUST download for you. Otherwise if you like good mainstream hip hop/R&B then this song is probably for you.

My Last Freestyle- Chris Brown

New "freestyle" from Chris Brown over his hit single with Big Sean, My Last. I'm not really sure that it is a freestyle though. I want to believe it... but I can't. It is pretty sweet though, this is the first time I have heard a new Chris Brown rap in a loonng time and after hearing it, I kind of want more. Also, this song comes with a video which strengthens my idea that this is NOT a freestyle, but you can decide for yourself.


Bottom Line: If you have heard the original and you like it then you should definitely give this song a listen.
